چکیده

Spectroscopic and chemical properties of γ-CD• radicals, resulting from the abstraction by HO• radicals of hydrogen atoms, have been investigated using pulse radiolysis. The reactions of γ-CD• radicals with C60 in 2:1 γ-CD/C60 inclusion complexes have been studied in aqueous solutions. It has been demonstrated that the γ-CD_ radicals are reducing species producing C60 monoanion radicals, as well as doubly reduced C60 , well characterized by their absorption spectra in the near IR. The oxidation potential of γ-CD• radical is estimated to be more negative than –390 mV vs. NHE. The kinetics of the C60 reduction by γ-CD• radicals have been determined and compared with kinetics by other reducing species including the solvated electron (eaq) and CO2 radicals. It was observed that the method of preparation of the 2:1 γ-CD/C60 inclusion complexes modifies the C60 reduction mechanism.

Pyridyl-cyclodextrin for ultra-hydrosolubilization of [60]fullerene.

An efficient hydrosolubilizing reagent for [60]fullerene (C60) was newly developed with a γ-cyclodextrin (γ-CD) derivative having triazole-methoxypyridyl moieties at its 6-hydroxyl positions (PCD). Through solid-state mechanochemical complexation, PCD forms a hydrosoluble inclusion complex of C60 with a concentration of more than 70 mM. This is approximately 90 times greater than that with non-...

Effect of different substituents on the water-solubility and stability properties of 1 : 2 [60]fullerene derivative·gamma-cyclodextrin complexes.

We have demonstrated that C60 derivatives bearing a pyrrolidine moiety as well as a variety of other substituents can form 1 : 2 complexes with γ-cyclodextrin (γ-CDx) using a mechanochemical high-speed vibration milling apparatus. When the influence of the steric hindrance of the substituents on the formation of the complexes was negligible, the water-solubilities of the complexes were shown ex...

Molecular solubilization of fullerene C60 in water by γ-cyclodextrin thioethers

Various hydrophilic γ-cyclodextrin (CD) thioethers, containing neutral or ionic side arms were found to form molecular disperse solutions of C(60) in water reaching concentrations of 15 mg/L. Equilibrium state was approached after seven days without the use of organic cosolvents. The 1:2 stoichiometry of the C(60)/γ-CD thioether complexes was demonstrated by a parabolic phase-solubility diagram...

Preparationa and Characterization of domperidone Inclusion complexes with cyclodextrin: Influence of preparation method

Domperidone is a widely used antiemetic, poorly water soluble drug, erratically absorbed in stomach and possess several dissolution-related problems thus it has poor bioavailability. Solubility of a drug plays a very important role in dissolution and hence absorption of drug which ultimately affects its bioavailability. Hence, by considering the facts related to drug, attempts have been made to...
